Dreams of a Dancer

Press against me as I breathe. My movement is my own maker, despite the cause … or because of it.I leap forward …ascending, but the jump has always been easy. It’s the landing that  humbles me. This is why I travel in circles ….dancing as I dream. Dreaming as I dance. Peaceful as I prance. Arms sprung wide as if in flight  Face extended against the glare .The ground smaller below me ….a convoluted swirl.  I am at peace with my purpose. The  dancer in me knows this … I will keep moving despite the stillness around me. After all….. a dream is never stagnate.
