In Touch With

As I saw you, I felt your presence surround me.
Your wings encompassed and absorbed me like a cocoon.
I was strengthened with your stance.
You were always there watching me.
Perched, free but separate, teal and temperate.
The vision of you with a  brownish  purple hue.
This is how I saw it in my youth.
So, hover above me as our shadows caress.
I will keep my gaze on you.
