The Trail

I remember my darkest moments
as a path with no trail.
Open space with no entrance or exit.
Hovering layers sight unseen.
Dark forest green.

The moonlight of flight over me
Dark whisperers in awkward positions.
Descending in a floral spiral.
I cant hear the meaning,
Just versions of breathing.

However , unbeknownst to me,
I was not alone.
I was surrounded by spoken word.
From others … like covers.
My hidden places now just spaces.

The healing came through externally.
Rounded words soothing my skin.
Trickled down ….. permeated,
made me feel whole again.

Like a dove cooing.
Wings pressing againist me …..inward
Showing me its okay.
I am not alone.
There is always a trail.
